Short 6th at Freestone

In front of friends and family cheering him on in the state he lives in, Chaparral Honda's Andrew Short ended up sixth overall on the day. A terrible start in the first moto left Shorty well outside the top twenty and it was all he could do to get a tenth. In the second moto, he was fourth for most of the race until being passed by Josh Grant with about five minutes left in the moto.

At a track where he's won motos before, it wasn't an ideal day for Short and his team but it also wasn't a failure by any means. With the sixth overall, Short is fifth in the points with ten races left.
